Journey to Aachen

Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany and located near the triple point between Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. It shares the Dutch-German border with the South Limburgian town of Vaals. Due to its proximity, it is very well connected to the cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf by train and by car. Although Aachen is also served by Maastricht-Aachen Airport near the Dutch city of Maastricht, there are more flight connections via Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf Airports.

By Train

There are regular regional (RB and RE) and long-distance (ICE) train services between Cologne Main Station and Aachen Main Station. The journeys usually take approximately 1 hour. Similarly, railway connections are also offered from Düsseldorf Main Station to Aachen with an average travel time of 1.5 hours.

By Car

Aachen is also easily accessible by car over Cologne and Düsseldorf. The city is connected to Cologne via the highway A4 and to Düsseldorf via A44. Both connections can take 75 minutes on average.

Directly at the venue there is a large parking lot also with the possibility to charge e-cars.

By Plane

If you plan to travel by plane, then please check suitable flight connections to international Cologne/Bonn Airport or to Düsseldorf Airport. There are also regular suburban, regional and long-distance train services to the main stations of both cities from the airports.

How to get to the venues

To Kasteel Bloemendal

  • from Aachen Main Station

You can take the bus (3B) from Aachen Hbf to Aachen Uniklinik. There, you can transfer to bus (33) to Vaals. You can then reach to Kasteel Bloemendal on foot in 3 minutes.

  • from Elisenbrunnen

From Aachen Hbf, you can walk to Elisenbrunnen bus stop. There, you can take the bus (350) in the direction of Vaals and again reach to Kasteel Bloemendal on foot in 3 minutes.

To Das Liebig

  • from Aachen Main Station

Two bus lines (11 & 21) have regular services every 7 minutes to Liebigstraße. From there, you can easily reach to the event location.

You could also take bus line 34 from Wallstraße and go until Lukasstraße. From there, you can reach to the event location in 3 minutes.
