Venue of Scientific Meeting - Kasteel Bloemendal
The 1st Annual Meeting will take place at Kasteel Bloemendal (Bloemendal Castle, eng.) in the south limburgian town of Vaals, the Netherlands. The castle was built in the late 18th century and nowadays it serves as a hotel and event location offering a classical atmosphere with its grand halls, a park and royal gardens. Therefore, we would like to host you at this picturesque location for our event.
The conference venue as well as the town itself, Vaals, are within easy reach to the nearby city of Aachen in Germany. There are more lodging options available in Aachen with good public transport connection. You can check the Travel & Accommodation section for further details.
Main scientific program of the meeting will be held at the lecture hall „Monastère“ with the extension into the room „Refectorium“ for poster session. On the first day, Thursday, December 7th, lunch will be served in the „Restaurant Clermont“ within the Kasteel Bloemendal premises.
Directly at the hotel there is a large parking lot also with the possibility to charge e-cars.

Venue of Get-Together Evening - DAS LIEBIG
In the evening of the first day, the more social part of the meeting, Get-together Evening, will take place in northern Aachen at the event location Das Liebig. It is of historical importance representing the industrial culture of the area and therefore listed as a protected monument. We would like to also host you in Das Liebig's long-established ambience.
