The Bundesministerium für Landwirtschaft, Ernährung und Heimat (BMLEH), together with the Bf3R and the set Foundation, cordially invites you to the 2026 Animal Welfare Research Award ceremony. With a prize of up to 100,000 euros, the BMLEH honors outstanding research achievements in the implementation of the 3R principle. This year’s event will focus on the award recipient, Prof. Dr. Beate Escher of the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the Foundation for the Promotion of Alternative and Complementary Methods to Reduce Animal Testing (Stiftung set), selected funded projects will also be presented, and the foundation’s long-standing commitment will be honored.
The event is aimed at representatives from the scientific community, politics, business, and civil society who are committed to animal-friendly research, innovation, and animal welfare.
