After the summer break, from August on, we continue with our monthly 3R – Competence Colloquium NRW series. This session will include presentations in both German and English. In this new exciting series, the topics span from the role of laboratory animal technicians in animal research to using invertebrates for motor control studies. We will also touch upon implementation of 3R principle in preclinical studies, effective ways of breeding laboratory mice, technologies for behavioral experiments, and behavioral indicators of pain in post-op mice.

As before, talks will take place on Zoom where you need to dial in earliest 15 minutes before the start of the event. For successful participation, you will again be certified with a §3 certificate or an ATF certificate (for veterinarians only). The series starts with “The laboratory animal technician in animal experimental research: training, profession, collaboration with experimenters, animal house managers and veterinarians“ by Mr. Paul Friedemann Pohlig, University Hospital Cologne, on Wednesday, August 9th, at 2 p.m. Check our event calendar for the upcoming colloquia and more.
