Venue of Scientific Meeting - Kasteel Bloemendal
The 4th Annual Meeting will take place at Kasteel Bloemendal (Bloemendal Castle, eng.) in the south limburgian town of Vaals, the Netherlands. The castle was built in the late 18th century and nowadays it serves as a hotel and event location offering a classical atmosphere with its grand halls, a park and royal gardens. Therefore, we would like to host you yet again at this picturesque location for our event.
The conference venue as well as the town itself, Vaals, are within easy reach to the nearby city of Aachen in Germany. There are more lodging options available in Aachen with good public transport connection. You can check the Travel & Accommodation section for further details.
Main scientific program of the meeting will be held at the lecture hall „Monastère“ with the extension into the room „Refectorium“ for poster session. The conference room is barrier-free accessible. On the first day, Thursday, November 26th, lunch will be served in the „Restaurant Clermont“ within the Kasteel Bloemendal premises.
Directly at the hotel there is a large parking lot also with the possibility to charge e-cars.

Venue of Evening Program - CT2
We’re excited to host the 7th Aachen Animal Welfare Award Ceremony and Get-Together Evening at the CT² – Center for Teaching and Training building at RWTH Aachen University – a state-of-the-art resource for advancing medical learning and practice. The event will be held in the Foyer area, a comfortable and technologically advanced room designed to foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.

Venue of Satellite Workshop - IZDM-Forum
This year we are pleased to yet again host the satellite workshop on November 25, 2026 on the topic of communication in animal research and the 3Rs. The workshop will take place at the new IZDM-Forum building on the Melaten Campus of the RWTH Aachen University.
This location is next to the CT2, where the 7th Aachen Animal Welfare Award Ceremony event will take place in the evening of November 26, 2026.
