Cancer cells do not live on a plate. They are suspended in a 3D matrix where they interact with immune cells, fibroblasts and the vascular network. Organ chips allow us to recreate this complex tumor microenvironment. Learn how to set up cancer and immune cell interaction on a biochip using organ-on-chip technology. This course will teach you basic biochip handling, spheroid integration in a perfused vascular network, tumor embedding & growing in a 3D hydrogel, immune cell invasion (live imaging), and perfusion monitoring.
