This event is online only. Registration is free but mandatory.
A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.

Modalität: Online

From the organisers:

"Veterinarians play a crucial role in animal research, yet many people are unaware that animals involved in scientific studies receive veterinary care. Veterinarians ensure that all ethical regulations and animal welfare standards are upheld within an institution, be it public or private. They are the first to raise concerns when these standards are not met, and they adhere to the highest standards for a global culture of care.

This is the second edition of EARA webinars, after a very successful first one with over 200 attendees on patient engagement in animal research and direct contact with the researchers working on their conditions.

Now we turn to a specialised and diverse panel of veterinarians working with animals for scientific purposes.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Lucie Côté (McGill University Health Centre - Research Institute, Canada)
  • Merel Wegman (Biomedical Primate Research Center, The Netherlands)
  • Michael McKinney (Vanderbilt University, USA)
  • More speakers to be announced in the upcoming weeks

The event will end with a panel discussion moderated by Lucie Côté with all participants.

We hope this event enlightens diverse audiences about the role of veterinarians in animal research and their mission to ensure animals receive the best possible care while they participate in life-changing studies."
