From the organizers:

"Join us for a webinar hosted by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) focused on the Biomedical Models Hub (BimmoH), a comprehensive dataset of scientific articles utilising human biology-based models, such as organ-on-a-chip technologies, 3D cell cultures, and computational models, aimed at facilitating more human-relevant biomedical research.

During the webinar, we will explain how we used AI for the creation of the BimmoH dataset, providing transparency on the article selection process and our methodological approach, relying on robust machine learning techniques.

You will also learn to streamline research efforts and support innovation through practical applications of BimmoH, such as identifying state-of-the-art models on specific research topics, conducting biotech market analysis, and performing funding gap analysis.

Developed under a European Parliament Pilot Project, the initiative supports the EU's Three Rs principle for promoting animal welfare and sustainable innovation.

Webinar objectives

• Explain the process behind the creation of the BimmoH dataset.

• Demonstrate the use of the web application in specific contexts.

• Engage with users to provide support and gather feedback.

Speakers

Pierre Deceuninck (JRC, European Commission)

Marco Straccia (FRESCI by Science&Strategy)"
