From the organizers:
Research integrity as a driver for growth, knowledge, and innovation
This year’s symposium will examine the UK's renewed emphasis on research as a catalyst for economic growth, innovation, and knowledge production – and the central role that research integrity plays in achieving these ambitions.
Across the day, we will explore:
- what the growth agenda means in practice
- how integrity is central to this agenda, underpinning excellence, credibility, and impact
- how organisations can align growth and innovation objectives with robust governance and responsible research cultures
- how the growth agenda intersects with key concerns of the research community, including AI, research culture, translational research, and international collaboration. A morning open to the public
- For the first time, the symposium’s morning programme will be open to all stakeholders across the research community.
- The session will include:
- scene-setting remarks from UKRIO’s Chief Executive, Stephanie Neave, and Chair of Trustees, Professor Dame Linda Partridge
- a keynote conversation with a senior leader, examining the UK's growth agenda and the key role integrity will play in its delivery
- a panel discussion bringing together leading voices from across the research system to explore how ambitions for growth intersect with contemporary challenges in research integrity. UKRIO Link
